This woman presented with an old "silver" filling and a crack line in the tooth. The tooth had no symptoms and decay was not present on the xray. Cracks can hide decay as it sneaks in!
The filling was removed. Decay was visible entering the crack.
The crack and decay were removed and the tooth restored with a bonded filling by Dr. Schlosser
